Orlando Resort Masterplan
The new masterplan for the 998-room, 500-acre JW Marriott Orlando Grande Lakes property required resolving existing programmatic needs while animating the grounds experience with a full variety of venues and amenities. It required a cohesive blend between the existing architectural style and a desire to modernize the look of the whole complex. The proposal focused on providing multifunctional spaces that could adapt to seasonal occupancies and activities capitalizing previously untapped grounds. Renovations and new structures had to provide unique and multigenerational experiences through the seasons and revitalize and affirm the brand’s position as Orlando’s luxury leader.
The Renovations included the JW main lobby and bar to expand outdoors, improvements to the pool’s F&B venues, a new adults pool at the Ritz Carlton, a farm-to-table event space, water slides, lake water sports and various outdoor entertainment zones.
